All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding
are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding
help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
Meetings are held at Medicine in Balance LLC, 940 Town Center Dr., Suite F-90, in Middletown
(across from Sesame Place) on the third Tuesday of each month, alternating between a 10 AM or
7 PM start time to accomodate both stay-at-home and working mothers. (For 2008: June - 7 PM,
July - 10 AM, August - 7 PM, September - 10 AM, October - 7 PM, November - 10 AM, December - 7 PM)
We hold a series of meetings based on four topics. The series is repeated three times annually,
but the discussions are never the same. The general topics include:
- The Advantages of Breastfeeding
- The Baby Arrives/The First Eight Weeks
- The Art of Breastfeeding/Avoiding Difficulties
- Nutrition and Weaning
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their
own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding
questions or concerns.
