La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Winona, Minnesota

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Winona holds meetings on the first Saturday of each month at 10:30 A.M. Meetings are held at the First Congregational Church, located at the corner of Johnson Street and W. 6th St. (also known as Broadway), in Winona. We meet in the basement - enter through the lower door on Johnson Street.

  • Advantages of Breastfeeding (June 5, Oct. 2)
  • The Breastfeeding Family (July 3, Nov. 6)
  • Breastfeeding & Avoiding Difficulties (Aug. 7, Dec. 4)
  • Nutrition and Weaning (May 1, Sept. 4)

We offer an extensive lending library at our meetings including books & DVDs on breastfeeding and various related topics. We also run a mailing list on Yahoo! Groups. Subscribe to receive automatic reminders of our meetings and other group events, as well as access to LLL of Winona's calendar, documents, and links.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
