La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing encouragement, education, information, and support, to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support both your local Group as well as La Leche League regionally and worldwide. The benefits of membership include use of our Group library. La Leche League's magazine NEW BEGINNINGS is now available in an online format for all to enjoy.

Meeting Information
All women who have an interest in breastfeeding are invited to attend any of our monthly meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Children of all ages are welcome to attend.
Series meeting topics are based on the series of four meetings:
- I. Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Child
- II. Baby Arrives; the Family and the Breastfed Baby
- III. Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
- IV. Nutrition and Weaning
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own children and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone, e-mail, and before and after the meetings for breastfeeding questions or concerns.
La Leche League of West Essex meets one Friday per month at 9:30 A.M. Check the schedule below for exact dates. Please call a Leader for location.

La Leche League of Montclair meets in Montclair, generally on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. Please call a Leader for location.
In the event that the Montclair public schools are closed for snow, the meeting will be held the following Wednesday.
