La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Waco, Texas

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

The Waco group meets the second Tuesday of each month,
6:30 pm,
Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, 5th floor.
Enter through the door near mailbox.

Other meetings/events: We periodically have special meetings for Toddlers and Couples. Call the Leader to see if any are scheduled in the near future. Waco area residents should also watch the local media or call the Leader for information about World Breastfeeding Day in August.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.


The La Leche League International mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.
