La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.
La Leche League of Traverse City, Michigan
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies and toddlers are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
Evening Series Meetings: 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. We meet at Munson Community Health Center in Classrooms A & B, 550 Munson Ave. in Traverse City.
**Please note the following months are second Tuesdays, July 14, 2009 and Sept. 8, 2009. Thank you.
Morning Enrichment Meetings: 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. We meet in the nursery at Faith Reformed Church, 1139 E. Front St. in Traverse City.
**When Traverse City Public Schools are cancelled due to weather, our meeting will also be cancelled.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
