La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of State College, Pennsylvania

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Children are always welcome at our meetings.

At our meetings we offer: a lending library with books on breastfeeding, childbirth, parenting and nutrition; mother-to-mother support; Leaders accredited by La Leche League International.

Meeting Information

La Leche League of State College is currently holding all of our meetings in the large downstairs room of the Patton Township Municipal Building, located at 100 Patton Plaza, State College. The parking is free and located just outside the entrance to the building.

Our daytime meeting is the first Monday of each month at 10 a.m.

Our evening meeting is the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
