LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

La Leche League of St Louis Park, Minnesota

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of St Louis Park meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10 A.M. Meetings are held at Morning Star Women's Health and Birth Center, 6111 Excelsior Blvd. in St. Louis Park. Please contact a Leader for more information.

Our monthly meetings rotate through the following topics:

  • The Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Baby
  • Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby
  • The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
  • Nutrition and Weaning

Enrichment Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 P.M. Meetings are held at the same location as the monthly meetings. Women are encouraged to attend a Series Meeting prior to attending an Enrichment Meeting.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who are accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. Leaders are ready to offer encouragement, support, information, and practical help to both mothers and interested medical professionals. We are happy to talk with you so please don't hesitate to contact us.
