La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.
La Leche League of St. Louis City, Missouri (Mid-City Group)
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
St. Louis Mid-City LLL meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 10:00 AM to Noon at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church at 4111 Connecticut Street (cross-street Oak Hill), in the Tower Grove South Neighborhood. We meet in the nursery, where there are plenty of toys for babies and toddlers; look for the signs when you enter from Connecticut Street.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
