LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Southeast Minnesota

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

Austin: Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 A.M. in the nursery of Cornerstone Church, 1403 1st Avenue SW (in the Sterling Shopping Center).

Clarks Grove: Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, 205 SE 2nd Street (Hwy 251 & Hwy 45).

Our monthly meetings rotate through the following topics:

  • The Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Baby
  • Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby
  • The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
  • Nutrition and Weaning

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who are accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. Leaders are ready to offer encouragement, support, information, and practical help to both mothers and interested medical professionals. We are happy to talk with you so please don't hesitate to contact us.
