La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI.
La Leche League of South Seattle, Washington
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
LLL of South Seattle meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Paul Allen Room #101 of the Neighborhood House in Rainier Vista Community, 4410 29th Ave S, in Seattle, WA. This housing community is at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Alaska/Columbian Way.
A Breastfeeding Café is held on the second Thursday of the month from 1-3 p.m. at My Coffee House, 2818 E Madison, Seattle.
The coffee shop is really hot in the summer months. For July and August 2008 we will meet at Volunteer Park - 1247 15th Ave. E - by the playground and wading pool. We will meet almost weekly through the summer (see dates below).

August 7, 14*, 28* If it is raining, I will still be at My Coffee House on July 10 and August 14. (the 2nd Thursday). Rain will cancel the other dates.

Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
