LLL of Washington

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of South Seattle meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 10:15 a.m. to noon in the WAMU Room upstairs at the Neighborhood House in Rainier Vista Community, 4410 29th Ave S, in Seattle, WA. This housing community is at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Alaska/Columbian Way.


Seattle Breastfeeding Café

The Breastfeeding Café meets on the third Thursday of every month from 1-3 p.m. at My Coffee House at 2818 E Madison. This is an informal drop-in meeting; come whenever you can, and bring your children! This is a toddler-friendly cafe with lots of toys and serving kid-friendly snacks.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
