LLL of California

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

La Leche League of Santa Barbara, California

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Nursing babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Santa Barbara holds two meetings each month:
- 1st Monday of each month - 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
- 3rd Monday of the month - 6 to 7:30 p.m. (These meetings are held September through May - no evening meetings in the summer)

We also offer a breastfeeding class every other month for expectant families.

All meetings are held at 2012 Chapala Street in Santa Barbara. Pregnant women, mothers, babies and toddlers are always welcome at meetings, and fathers are welcome at our evening meetings!

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
