LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. La Leche League of Roseville, Minnesota
The Roseville La Leche League Group warmly welcomes pregnant and breastfeeding mothers who are interested in enjoying a mother-to-mother conversation regarding the womaly art of breastfeeding. Babies are welcome, too!
Meeting Information
We meet regularly on the first Thursday of every month, with the possible exception of July due to the holiday. Please call the Leader for more information.
A series of four meetings over four months covers the following general topics:
- Advantages to Breastfeeding
- The New Baby Arrives
- The Art of Avoiding Difficulties
- Nutrition and Weaning
Because there are many subtopics under these headings, we try to creatively present different angles and new information as we cycle through our series during the course of a year.
The monthly discussion is followed by an open question and answer time. Many mothers find this part of our meeting very helpful.
We also encourage mothers with pumping questions to visit our meetings. Though many breastfeeding mothers rarely have a need to express milk, among the regular attendees of our group are mothers who routinely pump. These women are able to offer support and encouragement to new mothers transitioning back to work after a maternity leave.

Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
