La Leche League of Ringwood is a volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated
to helping mothers learn about breastfeeding. Knowing other women who breastfeed
their babies is helpful and reassuring. We are a network of support, sharing not
only questions and concerns, but also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. All
breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome
to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or
information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Each meeting is part of a four-part series, one every month, that is repeated
throughout the year. It is not necessary to begin a series with the first meeting;
basic breastfeeding information is covered each month. Ideally we suggest that
women begin to attend our monthly meetings during pregnancy. Please do not leave
a meeting without having your breastfeeding questions answered.
Meeting Information
LLL of Ringwood meets at the Ringwood Library on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
alternating between morning and evening. Contact a Leader for details.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their
own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding
questions or concerns.
