La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.
La Leche League of the Quad Cities
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
Iowa Day Meeting: Second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Meeting is held at St. John's United Methodist Church in Davenport, IA.
Iowa Night Meeting: First Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meeting is held at Trinity Hospital Terrace Park in Davenport, IA. Go in main entrance, take elevators to your left and go to the second floor. We meet in the conference area, room E. Dads are welcome at this Group's meetings!
Illinois Night Meeting: Fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meeting is held at the Illini Hospital in the Larson Center, Room C.
Meeting Topics Include: - Advantages of Breastfeeding - Childbirth and The New Baby At Home - The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties - Nutrition and Weaning
Enrichment meetings, available to LLL members only, are held the third Wednesday of each month. Meeting place varies so please contact a Leader for more information.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
