La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Portland, Oregon

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.

Meetings in North/Northeast Portland

La Leche League of North/Northeast Portland meets on the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the Rose City Park Methodist Church, 5830 NE Alameda. (One block South of Sandy Blvd.) Meetings are not church affiliated.

Toddler Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m., at the Community Room in McMenamin's Kennedy School located at 5736 NE 33rd, just north of Killingsworth in Portland. The room is located in the far southeast corner of the building, so go around the back and park in the parking lot. Feel free to bring a snack to share, if you like.

Meetings in Southeast Portland

La Leche League of Southeast Portland meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the Epworth United Methodist Church 1333 SE 28th. (Just North of SE Hawthorne.) Meetings are not church affiliated

Evening Meetings

Evening meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from 6-8 p.m. The meetings are located at the academic campus of National College of Natural Medicine. Parking is available free of charge in the parking lot of the academic building, at 049 SW Porter St (signs say a permit is required, but this is not the case after 5 p.m.). Park in the lot closest to Naito Parkway, on the West side of the building. Enter through the NW door of the building, closest to the pedestrian bridge.
