LLL of Indiana

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies and non-separating toddlers are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Porter County meets in Valparaiso at Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 Washington Street, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

Morning meetings are the second Wednesday of each month, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Toddler Meetings are the fourth Wednesday of each month, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Meetings include lending library, books and slings for sale, mother-to-mother support and valuable information sharing.

An Evening Breastfeeding Cafe is held on the third Thursday of each month, starting at 7:30 p.m., at Uptown Cafe, 1400 East Lincolnway, Valparaiso on the ground floor of the Uptown East building. We usually meet in the back corner of the cafe.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
