La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

AM Meeting Information:
Meeting Time: 10 a.m. on the 4th Thursday of each month (3rd Thursday in November)
Meeting Location: Nursery of the Pittsburgh Mennonite Church, 4005 Murray Avenue, Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill)

PM Meeting Information
Meeting Time: 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of each month
Meeting Location: Office of Patrick Thornton, 1900 Murray Avenue, Suite 303, Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill)
RSVP to any Leader listed below for security code.

Special Events: Evening meetings, enrichment meetings, couples meetings - times and locations vary. Call for more info.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
