Whether you're pregnant and considering breastfeeding or you are already breastfeeding
your baby, you probably have many questions: What are the health benefits of breastfeeding?
Is it possible to return to work? Can you still lead an active life? How often will the baby
want to nurse? Most of your questions are practical ones, best answered by other breastfeeding
mothers. And that's exactly what La Leche League can provide.
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding
are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding
help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
LLL of Oak Harbor meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Oak Harbor
Lutheran Church, NW 2nd and Heller Road.
Topics covered during the series of meetings include the advantages of breastfeeding, preparing
for the baby to come home, the art of breastfeeding and avoiding difficulties, starting solids, weaning
and family nutrition, and all of your personal questions or concerns.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their
own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding
