All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding
are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding
help or information. Breastfeeding is a simple and natural process, but you may
need support. Our meetings provide information on the correct positioning of the
baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems, and overcoming
any difficulties that may occur.
Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring.
Having accurate, up-to-date information is also important. Attending La Leche League
meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these
monthly meetings, mothers share not only their questions and concerns, but also the
joys and benefits of breastfeeding. Being in touch with La Leche League can give you
the network of support you need.
Meeting Information
Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the nursery at
Midland First United Methodist Church. Please contact a Leader for more information.
Expectant mothers, nursing babies and toddlers are ALWAYS welcome at La Leche League
Meetings!
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their
own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding
questions or concerns.
