La Leche League of McKinney, Texas

"Come to an LLL meeting before baby arrives to explore breastfeeding without pressure.
Return after baby arrives to find information, guidance and support through all
stages of your breastfeeding experience."

All interested women are encouraged to attend our La Leche League meetings. Mothers-to-be, breastfeeding mothers of infants or toddlers, and even curious grandmothers and female health professionals - all will find helpful information and support. Healthy infants and toddlers are also welcome at our meetings.

Discussions topics include, but are not limited to: the importance of human milk to baby and mother, preparing for baby's arrival, adjusting to motherhood and self-care, family dynamics, the normal course of breastfeeding, solving common breastfeeding problems, baby's changing needs, as well as guidance on starting solids, weaning and family nutrition. Participants are encouraged to bring up any other questions of concern to them.

Special Enrichment meetings (park days, toddler tips, family topics, personal interests) are held periodically throughout the year.
