La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Lincoln, Nebraska

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.

There are three Groups in the Lincoln area.

  • Thursday South

    Meets at 6:30 P.M. at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 8320 South Street

  • Friday Morning Breastfeeding Café

    Meets at 10:30 A.M. at the Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior Street. We meet every Friday morning (except holidays), discussing a variety of breastfeeding topics related to preparing for baby's arrival, getting started with breastfeeding, the early months of breastfeeding, weaning your baby and everything in between!

    February meeting dates: February 5, 12, 19, 26
    March meeting dates: March 5, 12, 19, 26
    April meeting dates: April 2, 9, 16, 23

  • Toddler Group

    Of Particular interest to mothers with children 1 year and older.

    Meets at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 1015 Lancaster Lane (South of approximately 73rd and Holdrege Streets. Enter through the east door, go to nursery.)
