La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.
Ongoing Group Fundraisers: LLL of Iowa City sells copies of THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING and Over the Shoulder Baby Holder slings. Both of these items are great baby shower gifts! Email the Leader listed to the right for further information.

Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by e-mail whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns. Please allow a few days for a response.
