La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI.

La Leche League of Hollywood/Silverlake AM, California

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies and children are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Hollywood/Silverlake AM meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at the Silverlake Recreation Center, 1850 West Silver Lake Drive, at the edge of Silverlake Reservoir (next to the dog park).

The facility has an outdoor, partially enclosed playground and sand play area. The indoor meeting space is a large room with table space and chairs. Free street parking is available. (For directions, visit their webpage or call (323) 644-3946. Please do not call this number for breastfeeding help from La Leche League.)

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
