La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.
La Leche League of Greenwood, Indiana
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
LLL of Greenwood meets at 10:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Methodist Medical Plaza Community Room, 8830 South Meridian Street (west side of SR 135, north of County Line Rd. and Mr. D's). Please use the Community Room entrance on the southwest side of the building.
We offer Enrichment meetings once a month in addition to the Series meetings. This is another opportunity to meet breastfeeding moms and get to know them better, forming friendships for yourself and your child(ren). We talk about tangent issues to breastfeeding such as nighttime parenting, discipline, fertility, organizing the home with small children around, frugal shopping, meal planning, etc. You can gather more information about these meetings from any Leader at the series meetings, by phone, or online. We look forward to seeing you!
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
