LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

La Leche League of Golden Valley, Minnesota

LLL of Golden Valley offers support and information through:

  • Mother-to-Mother Support
  • Monthly Meetings
  • Telephone Help from Accredited Leaders
  • Lending Library (books on childbirth, breastfeeding, and related subjects
  • LLL catalog: books available for purchase

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. We meet in Valley Presbyterian Church located at 3100 Lilac Drive N Golden Valley, MN. Please call one of the Leaders listed below to get directions to the meeting location or for more information.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.

Trying to decide which Leader to call first?

Please try Alisha first in the first half of the month (the 1st through the 15th). Please try Amy first in the second half of the month (from the 16th through the 31st).
