La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Johnson County South, Kansas

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Children, nurslings and siblings are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

Johnson County South now has two meetings and two locations each month:

Our daytime meeting is held on the third Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 15550 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, Kansas, 66062.

Our evening meeting is held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at Menorah Medical Center (Entrance A, Meeting Room 8) 5721 W 119th Street, Overland Park.

In the event of inclement weather, we follow the Overland Park and/or Olathe school district cancellation notices.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
