La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

Breastfeeding gives babies the best possible start in life. La Leche League meetings emphasize the joys of breastfeeding while they inform and encourage mothers who wish to nurse their babies. Mother to mother support is the heart of La Leche League, and no book on breastfeeding can equal talking to experienced nursing mothers and seeing their happy babies.
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
Daytime: LLL of the Foothills meets on the first Friday of the month at 12 p.m. at Standing Tall Chiropractic, 3436 N. Verdugo Rd, suite 250, Glendale, CA (on the ground floor, across the street from La Cabanita).
Evening: LLL of the Foothills meets on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Montrose-Crescenta Branch Library, 2465 Honolulu Ave. Montrose, CA.
Leader Information
Your questions can best be answered at meetings or in THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING (available at meetings, local libraries, and bookstores). However, in some cases you may need immediate help or encouragement over the phone. You may give one of the listed Leaders a call. La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding.
