LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Duluth, Minnesota

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Duluth meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. We also meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. Meetings are held at the First United Methodist Coppertop Church, 230 E. Skyline Parkway, Duluth.

Our meetings rotate through the following topics:

  • The Advantages of Breastfeeding
  • Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby
  • The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
  • Nutrition and Weaning

Enrichment meetings on topics such as toddler, employment and breastfeeding, birth stories, and mothercare are also occasionally scheduled. Please call a Leader for more information.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
