LLL of Pennsylvania

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. You do not need to be a member to attend our meetings. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

La Leche League Meetings

Whether you are pregnant, a new mother, or an experienced mother looking for parenting support, we invite you to share with us your thoughts and questions on all aspects of breastfeeding. Informal discussions are held in a warm atmosphere. We have a lending library of books about breastfeeding, childbirth, and parenting. Meetings are free and children are welcome. Please call or send email for information about meetings in surrounding counties.

Telephone Help

Volunteer Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. If you have a question, a problem, or just need some mother-to-mother suppport, please call the helpline number or any of the women listed below.

Morning Group in Havertown

Meetings for mothers nursing beyond a year are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at Old Haverford Friend's Meeting, Eagle Road and St. Denis Lane. For more information contact:
