All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our free meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help. We also provide health care professionals with continuing education opportunities and access to the latest research on lactation management.

Perhaps you are wondering how we can help you. Breastfeeding is a wonderful and natural process, but you may need support and information on the correct positioning of the baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems, or overcoming any difficulties that may occur. Having an experienced resource with accurate, up-to-date information is very important for breastfeeding mothers.

Attending La Leche League meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. Mother-to-mother support is the core of these meetings. This time is an opportunity for both new and experienced mothers to share questions or concerns, and to talk with each other about the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. When you come to a La Leche League meeting you will have your questions answered and meet dedicated mothers who are enjoying a wonderful, nurturing relationship with their babies through breastfeeding. This connection with other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring throughout your nursing relationship.

Our services are free and membership is not a requirement. However, if you enjoy coming to our meetings and would like to support La Leche League we invite to join. An annual membership is just $40.00 per year, less than most doctor's visits! Some of the benefits of membership include access to our informative Group library, as well as a bimonthly journal called NEW BEGINNINGS, which is filled with warm, personal stories from breastfeeding parents along with up-to-date research, book reviews, and much more.

Meeting Information

LLL of East Dallas meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Greenland Hills United Methodist Church 5835 Penrose Ave. Park on east side of the church off of Delmar.

** The June and November meetings are "couples meetings."
Fathers are invited to attend.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.

The La Leche League International mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.
