La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Breastfeeding is a simple and natural process, but you may need support. Our meetings provide information on the correct positioning of the baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems, and overcoming any difficulties that may occur.
Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. Having accurate, up-to-date information is also important. Attending La Leche League meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings, mothers share not only their questions and concerns, but also the joys and benefits of breastfeeding. Being in touch with La Leche League can give you the network of support you need.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies and children are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
A continuing series of informal discussion meetings are offered and are open to all women interested in breastfeeding.
Soleil (morning) Group meets the second Thursday of the month at 10 a.m.
Sunset (evening) Group meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.
The meetings are held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2615 Shepard Blvd.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
