All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome
to come to our meetings or call a Leader for breastfeeding help or information.
Meeting Information
We meet at the Mother's Haven the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00
noon. Mother's Haven is located at 2112 N. Government Way in Coeur d'Alene.
Meetings are discussion-based and informal. For new moms and moms with older babies and
toddlers. These meetings are also the perfect place for pregnant women to come and ask questions
in preparation for motherhood!
Topics include: the advantages of breastfeeding, adjusting to life with a new baby (whether
this is your first baby or not, it's always an adjustment for everyone when there's a new baby
in the house - marriage, siblings, and other family dynamics are explored), overcoming
breastfeeding difficulties, nutrition (ways to improve your family's diet), weaning, gentle
discipline methods that work, nighttime nursing, toddler nutrition, coping with family/societal
pressure to wean, dental concerns, tandem nursing, nursing in public and more.
Feel free to come with your own questions, too!
