La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
LLL is able to offer you information and encouragement because many mothers before you have supported La Leche League with their $40.00 memberships. Members enjoy a personal subscription to the bimonthly magazine NEW BEGINNINGS. This magazine is full of pictures, stores, parenting tips, and medical information. Membership also gives you the knowledge that you are helping yourself and others to develop “good mothering through breastfeeding.”
La Leche League of Chesterfield – West County, Missouri
Attending La Leche League meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings, mothers share helpful hints, and also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. Being in touch with La Leche League can give you the network of support you need.
We invite you to attend our meetings. These are guided discussions lasting about an hour followed by time for networking with others. Nursing babies are always welcome and La Leche League of Chesterfield – West County also welcomes interested fathers and fathers-to-be.
Our group maintains a large lending library with current books on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and parenting. Our manual, THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING, the 7th edition is available for purchase for $16.95.
Meeting Information
Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at St Luke's Hospital, East Medical Building 1st floor, 232 South Woods Mill Road, in Chesterfield.

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding.
