La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Augusta, Georgia

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Healthy babies and young children are always welcome at our informal meetings. Our meetings are for everyone!

Day Meeting Information

When: Second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Where: First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church
2204 Kimberly Dr. in Augusta
Directions: From Wrightsboro Rd in Augusta turn right on Johns Rd. Turn left on Kimberly Dr.

Evening Meeting Information

When: Third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Where: Wesley United Methodist Church (Room 21)
825 N. Belair Rd. in Evans near the Columbia Co. library
Directions: Going west on I-20 from Augusta take Exit #194, Dyess/Belair Rd. Turn right at the light onto Belair Rd. Follow until the intersection of Washington Rd. and turn left. Make an immediate right onto N. Belair Rd and follow past the library. The church will be on the right. If you reach Fury's Ferry Rd, you've gone too far.

We have started a yahoo email group so that we can stay in contact more easily. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AugustaLLL/ to request to join. It is an easy way to keep touch and get meeting reminders!

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
