LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League USA can be obtained from your local La Leche League Group. Membership fees help to support your local Group, LLL USA, and LLL International. The benefits of membership vary from Group to Group. Ask your LLL Leader how to receive a free electronic copy of New Beginnings.

La Leche League of Anoka County, Minnesota

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Children are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

La Leche League of Anoka County meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10am, at the Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church, 2650 - 128th Avenue NW, Coon Rapids. The church is near the intersection of Main Street and Highway 10. And on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M. Please contact a Leader for location.

Our meetings rotate through the following topics:

  • The Advantages of Breastfeeding
  • Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby
  • The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
  • Nutrition and Weaning

If poor weather conditions exist, please contact a Leader before coming.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
