La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. In Ohio alone, accredited volunteer Leaders assist more than 3,000 mothers each month through Group meetings and one-to-one telephone assistance.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

Breastfeeding is natural, but that doesn't mean women can do it by instinct alone. Like childbirth, breastfeeding is easier with help. Problems of lactation can usually be avoided with preparation and information. All breastfeeding mothers and all mothers-to-be are welcome to come to our free meetings (nursing children are welcome too!) or to call for further information.
