Q: How can my company become a World Breastfeeding Week Celebrations Prize Sponsor?

A: All WBWC prize sponsors are expected to be Who Code compliant. See URL for details http://www.who.int/nutrition/publications/code_english.pdf.

ELITE PLATINUM SPONSOR: $5,000 +
Dual sponsorship of the La Leche League Breastfeeding Helpline - US and LLL USA World Breastfeeding Week Celebrations:

  • One week a month during 2010, a custom sponsor message will be played for all callers to the Helpline. Currently an average of 500 calls a week are received by the Helpline
  • A link to your Web site or information about your business or product will be included in the follow-up email to Helpline callers
  • Elite Sponsors have permission to make merchandise available for events, such as balloons, tote bags, cups, etc., with company logo. They can also be marketed on the WBWC Buy Merchandise page
  • Elite Sponsors will also have their logo and Web site included on WBWC brochures that will be distributed to USA Groups

BRONZE SPONSOR: Cottage Industry Donation of merchandise valued at $100+

  • Donated products with a value of $100 to $200 or gift certificates in $20 to $25 increments will be used in the WBWC random gift drawing or auctions.  In November the winners’ names will be provided to your company for you to mail the gifts.

All sponsors are expected to adhere to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast milk Substitutes and subsequent World Health Assembly resolutions relevant to the International Code, passed before October 2006. Breaches of this provision that occur or become later apparent will result in termination of the sponsorship.
