Q: How can I make use of the WBW Public Service Announcement to publicize my event?

A: A Public Service Announcement (PSA) for World Breastfeeding Week has been donated by Steve Lester. Radio stations can access the .mp3 file at the following Web site: http://www.lesterfamilymusic.com/Downloads.html. To access, right click on WBW PSA and select Save As.

How can we get the WBW PSA played on the air?

• Send letters to your local radio stations requesting that they play the 60-second World Breastfeeding Week Public Service Announcement and asking them to mention your local WBW event either before or after the PSA.
• Describe your WBW function (date, place, etc.).
• Give them the url to download the WBW PSA. http://www.lesterfamilymusic.com/Downloads.html.
• You may have more success asking if they would play it during World Breastfeeding Week (August 1 - 7) or in the weeks before your event.
• Follow up with a phone call to the station's contact person.

This PSA has children singing the advantages of breastfeeding and a voice-over in the middle discussing World Breastfeeding Week. The text of the 22 seconds of talk is as follows:
