Q: How do I print and save the forms?
A: You may find it helpful to print these instructions so you can refer to them more easily.
Go to the LLL in the USA World Breastfeeding Week Celebration web page http://www.lllusa.org/lllusa/wbw.php.
Here you will find links to registration forms and other useful materials that
are available for downloading. Documents are available in several different
formats:
- "DOC" indicates a document created in Microsoft Word "RTF" indicates a document in Rich Text Format (readable by most word processing systems, including Macintosh)
- "PDF" indicates a document in Adobe Portable Document Format (requires free Adobe Reader software to view and print. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
Click on the "download" link for the document you want. After the document is downloaded you can print it. You may wish to save the document to your own computer so that you can have easy access to it without going online. The way you save a document depends on how your computer and Web browser are configured.
If your word processing software opens with the page displayed:
- Select from the menu bar: File | Save As Select a directory to save the document
- Select Save option
If a download window appears asking "What do you wish to do with this file?"
- Select Save it to disk Select a directory to save the document
- Select Save option
If you receive a Web window:
- Select from the menu bar at the top of the screen: File | Save As Select a directory to save the document
- Select Save option
You can then open the saved document in your word processing program (e.g., Microsoft Word or AppleWorks).
To view and save PDF files, you must first have the Adobe Reader (free) software installed on your machine. Once Adobe Reader is installed, you should be able to download PDF files, which will open in an Acrobat window.
To print the file from the Acrobat window:
- Click the printer symbol on the .PDF page or select from the menu bar: File | Print
The file should print to your printer, but the file is not saved on your computer.
To save a PDF file on your computer:
- Click the diskette symbol on the .PDF page Select a directory to save the document Enter a name for the file (be sure to maintain the .pdf extension)
- Select Save option
Installing Adobe Reader
Adobe provides a free version of its software that allows for the viewing and saving of PDF files. You can download a free version of Adobe Reader from Adobe's download page http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
