La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. LLL of Maine and New Hampshire's annual breastfeeding and parenting conference was held on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Noble High School in North Berwick, Maine. Information on the fall 2008 conference will be posted when details are finalized. La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns. A continuing series of informal discussion meetings are offered in many New Hampshire communities. Meetings are open to all women interested in breastfeeding. For LLL Leaders and Groups in Maine, see www.lllusa.org/MENH/Maine.html Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. With membership comes a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.
