La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI.

La Leche League of Rockford AM, Illinois

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of the Leaders for breastfeeding help and/or meeting information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Rockford AM meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:15 a.m. at the Rockford Public Library, Main branch, 215 Wyman St. in Meeting Room B. Enter on Mulberry St. at the auditorium entrance. (The storytime for babies and toddlers under the age of 2 is from 9:30-10am and the meeting is timed so mothers can attend LLL after storytime if they wish).

LLL of Rockford AM has an online forum for moms nursing toddlers. Anyone wishing to receive an invite to the Yahoo Group, can email the group at lllofrockford@yahoo.com

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
