La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI.
La Leche League of Des Plaines, Illinois
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of the Leaders for breastfeeding help and/or meeting information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
LLL of Des Plaines meets the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Family Medical Center at 100 N. River Road, Des Plaines, Illinois in the Helen Summers Room. Use the main entrance and ask at the information desk or take the elevator to the lower level and follow the signs for the auditorium. (The Helen Summers Room is near the auditorium.) Please phone a Leader for meeting topics or to confirm meeting dates.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
