La Leche League of Ellington, Connecticut
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help.
Membership in La Leche League is $40 for one year. The membership fee helps support local Groups, our Areas and the international organization. Membership benefits include a one year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.
La Leche League of Ellington offers support and information through:
- Mother-to-Mother support
- Monthly meetings
- Telephone help from accredited Leaders
- Lending library with books on childbirth, breastfeeding and related subjects
- Sales of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, or other items
Local Meetings
A continuing series of informal discussion meetings is offered.
MEETINGS are held on the second Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at Hall Memorial Library in Ellington.
DIRECTIONS: Route 83 North. Take a left at Main Street. Main Street to the center of town. Library is at the intersection of Main and Maple.
Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who are accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding.
