La Leche League of Southeast Aurora, Colorado
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. (Although we rotate through a series of topics, each is presented in a different light focusing on a different aspect.) Children of all ages are welcome. All questions are welcomed at each meeting, regardless of the topic presented. We always save time at the meeting to address any questions or concerns.
Meeting information
The Aurora-Southeast Group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. The Aurora-Southeast PM group meets at the same location (as the AM group) on the 3rd Monday of the month, at 6:45 PM. Both meetings are held at Holy Love Lutheran Church, 4210 S. Chambers Road, Aurora, CO 80014. We are not affiliated with the church except for their donation of the space for our meetings.
Directions: From the intersection of Quincy and Chambers take Quincy East about 1/2 a block to Chambers Way. Turn left (north) on Chambers Way and follow Chambers Way around. The church will be on your right. Park in the main parking lot and enter the church from the main entrance. Go past the church offices and sanctuary into a small hallway. We will be meeting on your right in the youth room.
Accommodations: The meeting room includes an extensive toy collection with toys safe for infants and toddlers. Snacks and refreshments are provided at each meeting.

August - World Walk for Breastfeeding
Enjoy a family fun day with LLLI. Bring your family to celebrate
breastfeeding, raise awareness about breastfeeding and provide
financial support to LLLI's continuing efforts to help mothers
breastfeed. With one short Walk, we not only make a difference
in the lives and health of mothers and babies around the world,
but also in the quality of the world in which we live. How is
this possible? The World Walk generates positive publicity for
breastfeeding and the necessary funds to encourage and support
breastfeeding. Please check with a Leader for times and locations.
October - MAKIT Memory Plates
Come make artwork that lasts a lifetime. Bring your creative spirit
and photos of your children and family to create MAKIT plates
and bowls. The plates and bowls make great gifts and will be
ready in time for the holiday season. Check with a Leader for
times and locations.
December - Holiday Potluck
Celebrate the season with mothers who share a common goal of mothering
thorough breastfeeding. Bring your favorite food and don't forget
the recipe! The potluck will take place immediately following
the Meeting. Contact any Leader for more information.
Leader information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
