Evening Series Meetings:
There will be NO evening meetings in 2012. Instead, we will be offering Saturday morning meetings on the first Saturday of each month. Details are below.
Morning Series Meetings:
Norman Family La Leche League holds regular morning Series Meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM. Morning meetings are held in the Education Center at Norman Regional Hospital, located on Porter Avenue.
Accommodations: Plenty of chairs are available, and there is room to sit on the floor, which is carpeted. As no toys are available, please bring toys for your little ones. Snacks and refreshments are provided at most meetings.
Saturday Morning Series Meetings:
We hold regular Series Meetings on the first Saturday morning of each month, except for April. (In April, the meeting will be held on the second Saturday of the month.) These meetings will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday meetings will be held at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 1801 W. Brooks Avenue, Norman, OK, which is located at the corner of Brooks and McGee. Signs will be posted to help mothers find the correct room inside the church.
Accomodations: Plenty of chairs are available, and there is room to sit on the floor, which is carpeted. Generally, some toys will be provided. Snacks and refreshments will also be provided at most meetings.
Meeting Information
One of the strengths of La Leche League meetings is the diversity of the mothers in attendance. Mothers have different backgrounds and different socioeconomic and family situations, yet we all share the desire to breastfeed our babies. We respect the experiences that all mothers bring. La Leche League believes that mothers know their own babies best; you are the expert on your family.
We welcome women and children of all ages at our meetings. For the comfort of nursing mothers, regular Series Meetings are for mothers, babies, and children. While we genuinely appreciate fathers who are supportive of breastfeeding, new mothers may feel uncomfortable about breastfeeding in front of men they do not know, so we ask that fathers not attend regular Series Meetings. In the future, we hope to hold Enrichment Meetings that fathers may attend with their partners.

LLL Memberships and Donations
You do not have to be a member of LLL to attend meetings. However, membership supports LLL locally, statewide, and nationally. Your membership purchase of $40 also entitles you to full access to our great lending library, and is tax-deductible.
You can pay for your LLL membership by sending a check to Elise (call her at 405-416-3822 for her mailing address) or by giving it to one of the Leaders at a Norman Family LLL Meeting. And now you can even pay with a credit card by paying through PayPal.
Just click on the PayPal graphic above and follow the instructions. It will send your payment of $41.50 to LLL of Norman. $40 is your membership and $1.50 is the PayPal fee.
